Parasite protection is an important part of owning a pet. Drontal is recommended for the treatment and control of all gastrointestinal worms in dogs, including roundworm, hookworm, whipworm, and tapeworm (including hydatid tapeworm), and controls the shedding of Giardia cysts. Does not control heartworm.
Administer your dog's correct dose from the hand as a treat – highly palatable, with most dogs happy to take it this way. Where necessary for dosage, the product may be cut with a sharp knife to produce half chews. Can be given as a tasty treat or with food.
Dosage guide (Large Dog Chews):
Directions: Dose every 3 months, or at the start of every season, to control roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and tapeworms. In hydatid tapeworm areas, treat every 6 weeks. If whipworm is a problem, treat every 6-8 weeks. Giardia should be confirmed by a vet before treatment, and dosed for 3 consecutive days at the correct weight-based dose.
