Our Flake Crispies are made from 100% Australian Black Tip Shark and Gummy Shark – both common, sustainably sourced species in Australia. These sharks are caught under strict quotas managed by Australian Fisheries and classified as "Least Concern" by the IUCN.
Both species are primarily harvested for human consumption, known as "flake" in supermarkets and fish shops. Our main supplier operates their own fishing fleet, is part of the Fish Improvement Program, and holds the MSC (Marine Stewardship Council) blue tick – indicating wild, sustainable seafood traceable back to a healthy fish population. They've invested heavily in visibility, with live and recorded cameras on board every fishing vessel monitoring catch.
We use non-human-consumption leftovers like skin, fins and tails, so nothing goes to waste – your dog enjoys a high-quality, eco-friendly treat that supports our commitment to sustainability.
