How to use:
- Hold the paw firmly while trimming
- Cut through the nail with a single stroke
- Avoid cutting the nail's blood vessel (the quick) - for dogs with darker nails, the quick is more visible from the underside
- Applying baby oil to nails before cutting can make the quick easier to see
- If nails are long, cut off a small amount first
- Repeat 10 days later, and so on, until nails reach the correct length
- Do not cut off too much at once - trim monthly thereafter
- Regular exercise on hard surfaces like concrete or road can reduce how often you need to trim
